ABSTRACT
Learning is the main process of education. The researcher did an observation at VII B Class of MtsS Manbaul Hikam on 2019/2020 Academic Year for the first semester which shown that the low of the student’s comprehension affects the learning outcome. This research’s goal is to increase the student’s comprehension towards algebra learning with Realistic Mathematic Education (RME) method. Research type that being used is Classroom Action Assessment (CAR), with cycle method as the research procedure, the percentage research of student learning result from Cycle 1 reached 60% and from the Cycle 2 reached 85%. It showed that student comprehension level increased with the implementation of Realistic Mathematic Education (RME) method, this method is used for the learning process that can give the good illustration as well as the example as the basic illustration.

ABSTRAK
Pembelajaran merupakan proses utama dari proses pendidikan. Peneliti melakukan observasi di kelas VII B MTsS Manbaul Hikam Tahun Pelajaran 2019/2020 pada semester pertama yang di peroleh data bahwasanya rendahnya kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa yang berpengaruh pada hasil belajarnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa dalam mempelajari bentuk aljabar dengan model Realistic Mathematic education (RME). Jenis penelitian yang di gunakan adalah Penilaian Tindakan Kelas (PTK), dengan prosedur penelitian menggunakan model siklus, dari hasil penelitian presentase hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I mencapai 60 % dan siklus II sebesar 85%. Hal itu membuktikan bahwa tingkat pemahaman siswa meningkat dengan diterapkannya model pembelajaran Realistic Mathematic education, model ini di gunakan untuk pengajaran yang dapat dengan baik memberi gambaran dengan contoh dari ilustrasi dasarnya.
